Government Model Degree College, Meethiberi (Haridwar) was established on 04 January 2022 by the Government of Uttarakhand. Initially the college got the approval of 08 subjects in Art Faculty at the graduation level – Economics, Education, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit and Sociology. The college is affiliated to Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithaul (Tehri Garhwal).
The college’s own huge building is under construction on 4.050 hectare land, which also has the facility of administrative building, teaching rooms, sports ground, library and a well-equipped hostel with the capacity of 60 girl students. The institution is located near Meethiberi village, between Maa Chandi Devi temple and Rawasan river of Haridwar district. The college is surrounded by natural beauty and green forest. This college is the only government college of this area situated in a forest area. This college campus is situated in a natural environment free from pollution, urban noise and provides a suitable environment for the intellectual development of the students. This college is committed to preserve and promote Indian culture along with personality and holistic development of students to ensure quality in higher education.
